The Department of Electrical Engineering at Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Institute of Technology, Rayagada, was established in 2004 with an initial intake capacity of 40 students. The department focuses on imparting quality technical education in the areas of planning, designing, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. It aims to prepare students to meet the growing demands of the electrical industry and contribute to the sustainable development of society. With the support of qualified and experienced faculty members, the department offers a solid foundation in core electrical engineering concepts. It also features well-equipped laboratories such as the Electrical Machines Lab, Power Systems Lab, and Simulation Lab to provide students with practical, hands-on training aligned with industry needs.
