Department Overview:

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering deals with planning, designing, fabricating, operation and maintenance of various electronics products. The demand of electronics is increasing day by day. Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering started functioning at Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Institute of Technology, Rayagada since 1993 with initial intake capacity of 40 students. Later the intake capacity decreased to 30. It aims to provide students for developing solutions of major sustainability challenges of our society. The dept. offers strong foundation in the morals and applications of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, with the assistance of qualified & experienced faculties. It has well equipped labs with Programmable Logic Controller, Simulation lab and Other instruments.

 

Vision:
To establish Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department as the center of excellence in Education, research, and technology, producing skilled and ethical Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers who can meet the needs of current technological advancements and can adapt to the accelerating changes at the state and national level.

Missions:
  • M1: To offer quality education through innovative teaching methods and practical orientations to prepare the students for real-time design and development so as to pursue a successful career.
  • M2: To produce diploma graduates with technical expertise, professional attitude, and ethical values.
  • M3: To provide the best learning environment to the students, faculty, and staff members conducive to creating excellence in technical education.
  • M4: To encourage students to pursue higher studies, to appear in various competitive examinations, and to take other career enhancement courses.
  • M5: To improve department-industry collaboration through various internship and training programs.


Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):
  • PEO1: To provide students with sound knowledge of basic sciences, mathematics, and diploma subjects, facilitating them to gain employment or pursue higher education.
  • PEO2: To build up the practical abilities to test, verify, and analyze various electronics and communication devices using contemporary software and hardware tools.
  • PEO3: To inculcate a positive attitude, professional ethics, effective communication, and interpersonal skills to succeed in their chosen profession, both as a team member and as a leader.
